2. March 17, 2020: About the USA timeline for pandemic as compared to Italy ( as of today. 3/17/20 over 2150 Italian deaths from COVID-19) --
In the last 2 days, deaths from COVID-19 in Italy have been over 300 both days, over 2150 COVID-19 deaths there since pandemic hit. Experts say that the USA is on the same timeline for COVID-19 as Italy. Given the failure to do timely early testing in USA , things in US are going to get worse, much worse. on a timeline similar to Italy. That said, there are 2 links referencing Italy as a forewarning of what the USA will look like in the next couple weeks.

And, this is NOT an over-reaction, it is a logical response to an event not seen in the United States for a century, if ever at this scale.
We know this will pass and is not the end of the world, but as it washes over us in upcoming weeks and months we will all need to care for each other and keep up with and follow the advice of scientists and authorities. But perhaps there is a silver lining to this ominous and fear-inducing cloud: maybe we can also consider using this time to engage in a personal retreat of sorts, self-care, or self-reflections examining of one's personal and spiritual / transcendent values. Face it, modern American life is characterized, by many, as helter-skelter, 'hurry-hurry-ding-ding' daily lives. Maybe we can use this historic moment in history to slow down, be more mindful of what's really important: and maybe just be kinder -- to ourselves and others.
More on this in a later post.
