Thanks to John Sykes for passing this along to us. At the link below are some excellent free resources and downloads relating to mindfulness practice. This list was published by Professor Bonnie Duran, DPH, University of Washington, Schools of Social Work and Public Health, Faculty Member. The PDF file below has embedded links for ease of accessing these resources. Click link below to download the PDF (you will need an Adobe or other PDF document reader app): FREE_MINDFULNESS_RESOURCES_Handout_04-20.pdf (206.61 KB) We're particularly fond of "Mindfulness in Plain English" by Ven. Bhante Gunaratanam , listed as a free download. We highly recommend it as a primer, a great intro to mindful meditation. It is refreshingly clear and, as it says, does a wonderful job of explaining things in 'plain English'. DL

+1 on Bhante G. If you have some time, he (Bhante Gunaratana) has a monastery in West Virginia that is quite nice. I attended a 7-day Metta retreat. Their website: bhavanasociety.org.
