As announced recently in another item in this area of the site the VA now has its VA National Center for PTSD. It looks very good to me, especially the app they have for Vets called PTSD Treatment Decision Aid -LINK HERE. Here's a blurb about the app put out by the VA: This app, located at: www.ptsd.va.gov/apps/decisionaid/ is a great place for Vets to explore PTSD in a non-threatening way. As we Vietnam-era vets know from discussions with younger combat vets (Iraq, Afghanistan etc), for whatever reason they often don't want to get help out of some sort of manly pride thing, "I can deal with this myself" sort of thing (We know this because we were the same way at their age... :} ). With this app, a vet can follow it and explore if what they're experiencing might be PTSD, and opening the door a crack to admitting that maybe they should get help. So, my review of this app is five stars and hope we can share this with any vets we know, especially younger ones. And thanks to John S. for sharing this with me.
