A company called Happify has produced an interesting graphic based on their research into Happiness. Bigthink.com has nice (short) discussion of Happify's research on happiness, looking at infuences of genetics, biology, social variables -- the old 'nurture v. nature' debate. Below the graphic here is an excerpt which I found rather encouraging. While long-term meditator, Tibetan monk and scientist Mattieu Ricard(Called 'the happiest man alive' by Richie Davidson, neuroscientist) says in various publications that -- in so many words -- "happiness is a choice", so my take-away is that the individual has many choices at the daily-life level which can be made to become a happier person.
