I was following a discussion somewhere in the netherworld of the internet yesterday which was some concerned folks advising someone whose loved ones had PTSD and they couldn't get help locally etc. It was a sad discussion and we reached out as they obviously had had bad luck 'going through the system'. They haven't contacted me yet but hope they do.
From the posts and discussion it wasn't clear if the suffering party was veteran or not, but it seemed they might be. Anyway.... some good did come out of the discussion in that I got some updated research info relevant to our work here on mindfulvets.net .
in response to one of the posts in the discussion someone who has access to a PUBMED LIT data base and searched for recent research on use of mindfulness in treating PTSD, doing this on June 30, 2017. They got 137 academic research articles in an annotated bibliography. So, thought I'd share it here. Rather than fill up space, I'm putting it here as an attached PDF document. Many of these articles are great if you're a PhD or graduate researcher, but still I was able to get the conclusions of the particular studies. Once I read all of these, I'll put here anything which deserves special attention(I should get to this easily by 2020):} .
Depending on your device or computer, you can click these to download. The DOC format can be edited in Word or Open Document software, the PDF is read only. Click links under "Attachments" below (must be logged in to download.)
