Inner Peace? There's a Web Site For That! , so says the New York Times recently. The Dalai Lama, who continues to pursue connections between his contemplative traditions and modern Western science, has recently teamed up with the psychologist, Paul Ekman --who helped in the making of the movie Inside Out (Pixar). (reviewed here elsewhere). The result is an Atlas of Emotions, what the Dalai Lama called a Map of the Mind. It continues to inspire me the extent to which the Dalai Lama works to help reduce the suffering of others through projects like this and the Mind Life Institute (also referenced elsewhere here). For me, it all serves to support and reinforce the value and importance of what we're learning about mindfulness as a way to improve our lives, deal with past traumas and suffering. I marvel at the fact that the science seems to so often validate what the Dalai Lama and other Eastern masters of the past have been saying for centuries. Comments, responses, opinions always welcome, just hit the 'reply'.
