JULY 2016 MINDFULVETS.NET STATUS REPORT:
Our website mindfulvets.net has accumulated a good amount of material this past year. Next, we would like to get the community aspect of this site off the ground. To do this, we need for registered members to post something onto the site, to participate. Before I (Dana as Sysadmin) begin to spread the word of our site and 'virtual mindfulness community for vets', we need to have more members posting to this forum, and with some regularity in order to be a true web community.
In order to have a true community on the web, visitors to the site need to see more material than from just two or three people. I know there's a great deal of collective wisdom in our membership and we strongly believe in the potential of this site to help veterans -- especially those far from VA centers -- who are greatly suffering after their time on active duty and/or after deployment.
We need your help in this, so...
Here's what we want members to do:
1. Log in using the username-password you used in signing up.
2. Go to the following link and say hello, tell about your interests and practice of mindfulness, meditation etc. Suggest you spend a little time, compose it in a Word or text program and then cut and paste it here; Of course you can type it directly but you can take your time doing it the 'cut and paste' way::

3. Take the introductory survey here to give us a sense of our members' backgrounds and needs as to mindfulness info etc.:

4. Once you hear back that you are registered, while logged in to mindfulvets.net please set your profile up in the *Notifications* tab of your account to be notified of new material being posted to the site (DETAILS ON THIS HERE). If you need help with any of this, please message me(admin) via the site contactg page (tab at top of every page), or send email to danaklewis@gmail.com .
